A portion of Hwy. 51 in Oneida County closed Thursday after a semi tractor trailer and passenger vehicle collided.
The crash was reported at about 11:15 a.m. in the southbound lane of Hwy. 51 just north of County Hwy. K. Rescue crews from the town of Cassian were the first to respond to the crash. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department also responded, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Police have not said if any significant injuries were reported in the crash. All lanes of Hwy. 51 in both directions are closed and will likely reopen by about 1:30 p.m., officials said.
Northbound travelers should take County Hwy. K eastbound, then turn north on Lakewood Road to westbound on Fernwood Road and back to Hwy. 51. Southbound drivers should take the same route in the alternate direction.
