Crews from three local fire departments were called to battle a blaze at a home in the Spencer area, according to emergency scanner traffic.

The blaze was reported just after 2:35 p.m. on Abe Lincoln Avenue. Initial reports suggest the blaze started in the garage and spread to the home.

Spencer crews were first to arrive on scene. They triggered a MABAS box alert to request additional firefighters and equipment from Stratford and McMillan Fire Departments.

There’s no word yet on injuries or what caused the blaze.
