ANTIGO – The Wausau East girls basketball team earned a road victory in its postseason opener, picking up a 58-42 win over Antigo in a WIAA Division 2 regional quarterfinal Tuesday at Antigo High School.
Madisyn Krueger scored 23 points for the Lumberjacks, who improve to 6-17 this season.
Sophie Schlieve had 20 points for Antigo, which finishes its season with a 4-21 record.
No. 9 seed Wausau East moves on to a Division 2 regional semifinal at No. 1 seed Mosinee (23-1) on Friday at 7 p.m.
