WAUSAU – Aspirus Health was once again recognized as one of the top organizations in North America for supply chain excellence, Aspirus announced recently. This is the fifth consecutive year Aspirus Health has received the Global Healthcare Exchange “Best 50” Award ending 2021 ranked seven out of over 4,100 hospitals.

GHX annually recognizes organizations with performance measurements in the top 50 throughout North America with the GHX “Best 50” Award.

The award spotlights the top North American hospitals and health systems based on their proven ability to improve operational performance while driving down costs through supply chain automation.

“I am very proud of my team for continuing to perform at a high level for our organization and the communities we serve,” said Aspirus Health Vice President & Chief Supply Chain Officer Gary Rakes. “The past two years have been challenging with continued COVID pandemic operations and the integration of seven new hospital and 21 clinics. My team has stepped up to the plate and delivered, demonstrating and living our motto of ‘Filling the hands that heal.’”

Honorees are selected from a pool of more than 4,100 provider organizations connected to the GHX digital trading platform that score highest in areas such as maximizing document automation, exchange utilization and trading partner connections during 2021. The recipients will be recognized during an awards ceremony at the GHX Summit 22 on May 11.
