MEQUON – Behind a four-run sixth and a three-run seventh, the Lakeshore Chinooks was able to take down the Wausau Woodchucks 10-2 in a Northwoods League baseball game Friday night at Kapco Park.

In a game that was tied up at 2-2 through five innings, it looked like we would have a similar game to Thursday’s matchup. The Chinooks (9-16) made sure that wasn’t the case.

As a pitching staff, the Woodchucks (15-11) allowed a combined 13 walks. Three of those came in the sixth before a three-run home run was hit by Hunter Grimes (Arkansas) for Lakeshore.

Jesse Donohoe (Georgia State) picked up the first triple of the season for Wausau in the second inning.

Dalton Pearson and Jake Baker picked up RBI for the Woodchucks in the loss.

Stop two of the road trip has Wausau heading to Kokomo (Ind.) for games against the Jackrabbits on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday at 5:05 p.m.
