WAUSAU – Wausau Events will host its third annual Wings Over Wausau event June 21 and 22 at the Wausau Downtown Airport, spotlighting the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.
Having performed more than 21,000 shows in all 50 states and 48 countries, the parachute team is known as the most successful parachute team in the world. Their performance at the 2024 event will include both day and night performances.
“We are extremely excited to bring such a prestigious parachute team and airshow act to our city” said Alissandra Aderholdt, executive director for Wausau Events, in a news release. “We wanted to expand the airshow acts this year to involve more adrenaline-rushing performances and feel that the lineup we have is one of the best in the state.”
The entire 2024 Wings Over Wausau airshow lineup includes the following performers:
- U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team
- Redline Airshows (Formation Aerobatic Flight Team – Day & Night Acts)
- Erik Edgren (Comedy Act and Night Act)
- Susan Dacy (Day Act)
- Skip Stewart (Aerobatic Day Act)
