PRENTICE – The Newman Catholic boys basketball team used a 9-3 run in overtime to defeat Prentice 62-56 in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday night at Prentice High School.

Quincy Pfender scored 26 points and Lucas Pfiffner added 21 for the Cardinals, who are now 4-16 overall and 2-11 in the Marawood South this season after posting their second win in a row.

Evan Lord led Prentice (11-8, 6-7 Marawood North) with 20 points.

Newman Catholic will play a nonconference game at Stevens Point Pacelli on Tuesday.
