One person was pronounced dead at the scene of a UTV crash Tuesday afternoon in the town of Newbold, north of Rhinelander, officials said.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department took a call at about 1:15 p.m. alerting them to the crash, on private property off of Forest Lane. The caller said the driver struck a tree, appeared to be blue, did not have a pulse and was not breathing.
Crews arriving at the scene determined the driver was dead. The crash is under investigation.
No names have been released.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Oneida County Medical Examiners Office.
