EAU CLAIRE – D.C. Everest scored twice in the third period to pull past Eau Claire North 3-2 in a WIAA Division 1 boys hockey regional semifinal Tuesday at Hobbs Ice Arena.
Charlie Biolo Thompson tied the game with a goal with 6:30 to go, and Cole VanSlyke put in what would be the game-winner two minutes later to lift the Evergreens to the victory.
Xavier May also scored the Evergreens (11-13), and goalie Griffin Bunnell finished with 32 saves in the win.
D.C. Everest, the No. 9 seed in the sectional, moves on to a Division 1 regional final at No. 1 seed Chippewa Falls (21-3) on Thursday.
