EDGAR – The Edgar FFA Alumni and Supporters donated to several causes during its recent March meeting, the organization announced this week.

Donations were made to Honor Flight, $500; Stark’s Edgar Chalk Fest and Christmas Parade, $500; and A Walk in Their Shoes, $1,000.

Honor Flight is dedicated to transporting United States military veterans to Washington, D.C., to see memorials of the respective war they fought, at no cost to the veterans.

The Edgar Chalk Fest and Christmas Parade strive to enrich lives through social connection and community involvement.

A Walk in Their Shoes is a collaborative effort by north central Wisconsin educators who hope to put a personal face on events that fill the airwaves, print media and the internet.

The Edgar FFA Alumni and Supporters raise money each year with the June Dairy Breakfast, which will be held this year at the Pat and Michelle Socha family farm on June 9, and the Edgar Tractor Pull, which will be held at E.L.M. Repair and Refrigeration in Edgar on July 27.
