Dear editor,

I am a Marathon County voter and I have also run for public office. While there are many times feelings get hurt or we think things are unfair, we must remember to argue an issue and not use personal attacks.

I have had the pleasure of working side by side with Kody Hart many times. I can tell you first-hand, he is a highly educated, well thought out, and a very professional person in his position.  On a personal side, he is a caring and compassionate person.

It saddens me that people feel the need to use fear tactics and say our elections are corrupt and try to plant a seed of doubt. Please go through election training and learn to work at the polls. This will erase any doubts you have! Our clerks would love the help, my hat is off to them. These pollworkers are our friends and neighbors out there on election day, and they all work incredibly hard and long hours to ensure our elections are fair. There is a system of checks and balances every step of the way.

Speculation is nonproductive, unethical, and is a form of manipulation. Our area needs us to spend our energy on more useful projects.

Nancy Tabaka Stencil, Wausau
