Police in Wausau are investigating the death of a woman whose body was discovered early Tuesday in the Wisconsin River.
Officials say the death is a possible suicide.
The woman’s body was located in the river near Barker-Stewart Island north of Scott Street.
Autopsy results are pending and the woman’s name has not been released.
