Dr. Waqas Yasin will serve as North Central Health Care’s medical director, providing oversight for the NCHC Adult and Youth Behavioral Health Hospitals, Lakeside Recovery, and Intensive Outpatient programming through NCHC Outpatient Services.
Dr. Yasin has served as NCHC’s Interim Medical Director since September 2023.
“Dr. Yasin’s commitment to maintaining unparalleled patient care standards and achieving service excellence at North Central Health Care is steadfast,” said NCHC Executive Director Gary Olson. “We are delighted to have his leadership through this role and look forward to his continued collaboration with our Acute Care Services Director and Senior Leadership Team.”
In the Medical Director role, Dr. Yasin will work collaboratively with Vicki Tylka, Managing Director of Community Programs. Dr. Yasin will oversee clinical aspects of programming, while Tylka will oversee the administrative functions of Community Programs.
Dr. Yasin holds a degree from Liaquat National Medical College, University of Karachi in Pakistan, and completed his psychiatry residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Northeastern (NEW) Residency Program.
