STEVENS POINT – The final installment of the lecture series highlighting sustainability and resilience issues facing Wisconsin communities will be offered in April through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

“Sustainable and Resilient Communities” is offered free of charge and open to the public. It welcomes anyone interested in urban planning, energy policy, natural resource management and climate resilience to attend.

The culmination of the series, “Sustainable and Resilient Communities Leaders Panel,” will be held at 6:30 p.m. April 9 at the Dreyfus University Center Theatre, 1015 Reserve St. The panel will host local mayors and administrators to discuss the challenges and opportunities of implementing sustainability and resilience policies locally and regionally.

Speakers for the event will include Stevens Point Mayor Mike Wiza, Stevens Point Community Development Director Ryan Kernosky and Wisconsin Rapids Community Development Director Kyle Kearns.
