WAUSAU – Florida Gulf Coast University infielder Jake McKee has signed on to play for the Wausau Woodchucks baseball team this summer in the Northwoods League.
McKee, a redshirt junior, started his collegiate career paying at Santa Fe College in Florida where he had 40 hits, 34 RBI and two home runs in 2022.
With FGCU this season, McKee has a .947 fielding percentage with 10 hits, six RBI and six walks in 16 games.
Opening Day for the Wausau Woodchucks is Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, at Athletic Park in Wausau. The first 500 fans 18-and-older will receive a hat, sponsored by Wisconsin Lottery. Half- and full-season tickets, along with ticket packages, group tickets and hospitality areas are on sale now. Single-game tickets will go on sale later this spring.
