WAUSAU – Local symphonies play an important role in Wisconsin communities, bringing people together in a way that only music can. The concert experience guides both new and seasoned listeners, encouraging them to reach, grow, learn and think as they experience new sounds and melodies. In addition to the economic impact local symphonies have in the region, they also help create a sense of pride and identity within the communities they serve.

At 10 a.m. April 5, “Route 51” host Shereen Siewert welcomes Tessa Taylor, executive director of the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, Nobuyoshi Yasuda, conductor of the Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra and Dan Larsen, conductor of the Wausau Symphony Orchestra, for a peek behind the curtain and a discussion on the magic of the local symphony experience.
