WAUSAU – Visit Wausau will hold its annual tourism lunch, Weatherproof, in May to mark a high point in this year’s National Tourism Week celebrations.

This signature event will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. May 22 in the Sundance Chalet at Granite Peak Ski Area on Snowbird Avenue in Rib Mountain and feature networking opportunities, discussions and a celebration of Wausau’s tourism industry.

The event will feature a keynote speaker, yet to be named, local panel of partners discussing the latest trends in destination development, including insights from key figures such as Tim Parker, Community Foundation; Ryan Gallagher, Rocket Industrial; Jahn Martin, Central Wisconsin Offroad Cycling Coalition and Wausau24; and several more influential voices within the community.

Tickets, which are $20 each or $150 for a table of eight, can be purchased through Eventbrite at Weatherproof Annual Tourism Lunch Tickets.
