NEW RICHMOND – The Wausau West softball team split a pair of games at the New Richmond triangular on Saturday.
New Richmond defeated the Warriors 7-5 before they bounced back with a 13-10 win over Superior.
Claire Calmes and Taylor Liebelt each hit home runs for the Warriors in the loss to New Richmond. Paityn Calmes also had two hits for Wausau West.
West scored six times in the fifth inning to pull ahead against Superior. Liebelt smacked two home runs and drove in four, and Claire Calmes had three RBI and scored three times in the victory.
Superior defeated New Richmond 9-2 in the other game of the triangular as all three times went 1-1.
Wausau West (5-3) will play at Marshfield on Monday.
