Wausau Pilot & Review

WAUPACA – Wausau West earned a two-stroke victory over Wausau East at the four-team Wausau East Sawmill Boys Golf Invite on Friday at Fox Fire Golf Course.

West finished with a score of 352, two shots better than Wausau West. D.C. Everest placed third with a 371 and Merrill was fourth with a 372.

Cooper Bjerke and Teddy Schlindwein of Wausau East tied for first place with 81s, with West’s Russell Harder taking third with an 82.

Tanner Courtright led D.C. Everest with a 91, which placed him a tie for eighth.

Wausau West is back in action Monday at the Wisconsin Rapids Quad, along with Stevens Point and Marshfield, at Bullseye Country Club.

D.C. Everest and Wausau East will compete at the Adams-Friendship Invitational at Sand Valley Golf Club on Tuesday.
