Your group will help pack the fresh produce into boxes. Pick your team of 3-5 people, pick a Tuesday morning (10 a.m. – noon), and go to https://www.unitedwaymc.org/volunteer to sign up.

Student Internship Opportunity. GiGi’s Playhouse is a nonprofit providing free educational and therapeutic programming to individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. Students studying education, OT, PT, speech, marketing, even physical fitness or music would be ideal as interns. Contact Erica Erdman at 715-907-1867 or [email protected] to apply.

“Pilots” Needed. Cycling Without Age pilots drive older adults and adults with differing abilities on a trishaw to enjoy fresh air and nature in the summer months. Shifts are Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Contact Julie Streufert, executive director of The Landing at the Woodson YMCA, at [email protected] for more information or sign up for a shift at http://unitedwaymc.galaxydigital.com.

Do You Like Chatting On The Phone? Interim Hospice seeks friendly caller volunteers to talk with and be a friendly, listening ear to a patient in hospice care. Volunteers also make “tuck in” calls, wherein the volunteer calls a patient, or the facility where a patient lives, ask if they need additional supplies before the weekend, and communicate the information accordingly. Contact Maya at 715-842-7707, ext. 2711, to get started.
