Police are searching for a 38-year-old Adams County man after finding a body buried on a property in Strongs Prairie.

An investigation launched after a report that 62-year-old Sharon Miller, of Friendship, had been out of contact for several days and was not at her home. Her son, 38-year-old Jami Lumby, was also not at the home, officials said.

Deputies arrived and discovered freshly disturbed ground, prompting a search warrant. Police say an adult body was found beneath the soil.

The circumstances surrounding the death are unclear at this time and an autopsy is pending.

Now, police are searching for Lumby and are asking for the public’s help.

Anyone with information about his location, or has had recent contact with him or Sharon since Monday, June 24 is asked to contact the Adams County Sheriff’s Department at 1-877-885-7786, or submit an anonymous via app: (https://apps.myocv.com/share/a112253934).
