WAUSAU – The Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce’s initiative for young professionals, hype, has named its executive team for 2017-2018.
Adam Karcz is the chairperson of hype. Karcz lives in Hatley with hiswife and is a graduate of Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School. Karcz obtained his undergraduate degree from UW-Stevens Point, and is pursuing his MBA from UW-Oshkosh. Karcz is currently a home lender for River Valley Bank and a member of United Way‘s Emerging Leaders and Junior Achievement.
Corey Barnes is the chair-elect for hype. Barnes is originally from Onalaska and attended school in Holmen. Barnes is a graduate of Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse and has worked for Associated Bank since 2006. Barnes is the branch manager for Associated Bank’s Weston/Schofield location and serves as the chair for the bank’s young professionals group. Barnesss is married with two children and is active in the Everest Area Optimist group, Cub Scouts and United Way‘s Emerging Leaders. Barnes was also an honoree in Daily Herald Media’s 20 Under 40 in 2016.
