RIB MOUNTAIN – A portion of Hwy. NN in the town of Rib Mountain is closed today after heavy rains washed out part of the road, officials said.
The Marathon County Sheriff’s Department is advising drivers to avoid the area, which is just west of Thornapple Road.
Heavy rainfall overnight caused the road to buckle, officials said. Drivers should plan an alternate route for at least the next 24 hours.
