WAUSAU — Down payment assistance is available for qualifying home buyers who are interested in buying a home within Wausau city limits.
Live It Up Wausau is a partnership established in 2016 between the city and participating employers that provides no-interest loans to qualified home buyers. To date, the program has partnered with 20 local businesses and has provided 11 new homeowners a total of more than $130,000, according to a city of Wausau news release.
The program aims to help local businesses attract and retain workers.
