The Wausau National Little League team lost its first game in regional play over the weekend, falling to West Side of Ohio 22-4.

Wausau fell behind early and couldn’t close the gap despite homers from Elijah Gustafson and Keagen Jirschele. Ohio West Side scored 13 runs in the fourth inning alone.

Winners of the double elimination tournament move on to the Little League World Series held in Pennsylvania later this month. Wausau will take on the loser of a matchup between Illinois and Kentucky on Tuesday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN 3 and livestreamed on ESPN. Game time is 9 a.m.
