SHAWANO COUNTY — Three people are dead and four people are seriously injured following a wrong-way crash Friday in Shawano County, police said.

The crash happened at about 9 p.m. on Hwy. 29 near the intersection of Hwy. T. Police said a 38-year-old man was driving a Dodge minivan eastbound in the westbound lane of Hwy. 29 when he struck another vehicle head on.

Two of the six occupants in the westbound vehicle, a 7-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy, were killed, police said.

Police shut down both westbound lanes of Hwy. 29 for hours after the crash. No additional details have yet been released.
