NEWS RELEASE — The Rotary Club of Wausau will host the 10th Annual WRUT ‘n Run fundraising event for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities on Sat. Oct. 7 at Granite Peak Ski Area at the base of Rib Mountain.

The event will raise funds to support community services for youth, education and hunger. Multiple trail runs will be designated for families and serious competitors who register online before Sept. 29 at www.wausaurotary.org. All registered participants will receive a T-shirt and swag bag.

Trophies will be awarded to winners of each event including: Kids’ Wrut ‘n Fun Run, 5K Race the Base, 5K Conquer the Mountain, 10K Adventure Run, and the 4-Hour WRUT Team Relay or Solo. The Granite Peak Ski area will also be offering chair-lift rides.
