WAUSAU – The public is invited to an extra-special book sale as the Friends of Marathon County Public Library gets ready to move into its new space.

The four-day super sale will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on October 6 and 7 and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on October 8 at MCPL’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.

The sale starts on October 5 with a members-only sale. If you’re not a member, you can join on the spot for just $10 and get first dibs on thousands of books, audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs, artwork and more. The special $6 bag sale that normally closes out the book sale will instead be held this time on Saturday October 7, and the deal will be even sweeter this time! To find out what could be better than a bagful of items for just $6, you’ll have to visit to find out!

This special moving sale will help the Friends of MCPL as they prepare to move into a newly-renovated space on the ground floor of the Wausau Headquarters. The items for sale consist of both materials removed from the library’s catalog and items donated by people in the community. All proceeds from the sale go directly back to financially supporting the library and its branches.

The Friends of the Marathon County Public Library Book Sale is free and open to the public. For more information, call 715-261-7200 or visit https://mcpl.us/events?event_id=4054.
