WAUSAU — Police are searching for a man they say stabbed a waiter Friday at a west side restaurant.
The suspect is a cook at the restaurant, Masa Sushi Bar & Grill, 1800 Stewart Ave., according to police. The suspect and the victim were working together at the restaurant and the knife used in the stabbing came from the restaurant’s kitchen, police said.
The name and description of the suspect have not yet been released. Police did not say what might have prompted the incident.
The waiter is expected to recover.
