RHINELANDER — A 27-year-old Rhinelander woman accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill her husband is being held in the Oneida County Jail.

Megan Danielczak was arrested Thursday in Tomahawk, according to a news release. Police say Danielczak gave a down payment on the planned hit to an undercover Wisconsin Department of Justice agent who was posing as a hit man. Danielczak was to pay the balance after her husband had been killed, police say.

Official charges have not yet been filed. This story will be updated.
