Wausau Pilot and Review editor Shereen Siewert will co-moderate a panel discussion on gun violence during a special two-hour program Thursday on WXCO.

The program will air from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on AM 1230 during Oliver Burrows locally-produced Hometown Morning show. WJFW’s Ben Meyer will also appear as a co-moderator during the first hour of the discussion, which will be broadcast live from the WXCO studio.

Panelists include Capt. Sean McCarthy and Deputy Dean Pitt of the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, FBI Information Consultant Benjamin Albright, and Det. Shane Heilemann of the Everest Metro Police Department.

School officials from Wausau and D.C. Everest will also appear, along with Deb Piskoty and Lee Shipway from Peaceful Solutions.

Marathon County Board members Katie Rosenberg, Jack Hoogendyk and Joel Lewis will also join the discussion, along with Kristin Conway of Moms Demand Action and Mosinee Mayor Brent Jacobson.
