MARATHON– An investigation is underway in Marathon after the body of a man was discovered inside a motel room closet, police said.
Police were called at 12:27 p.m. to the Village Inn, 304 Main St., where the man’s body was found, according to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
The Village Inn is a restaurant and bar with a five-room motel on the upper floor.
The State Crime Lab is at the scene along with the State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit and other investigating agencies.
The name of the man has not been released.
