TOWN OF BRADLEY — A woman injured Tuesday in a single-vehicle rollover crash south of Tomahawk has been identified as 67-year-old Rita L. Wolk, of Tomahawk.

Wolk was seriously injured in the crash, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash was reported at 9:24 a.m. Tuesday at CTH S near Curve Inn Road, police said. Investigators say Wolk’s car left the roadway and rolled over, landing partially in Road Lake.

Tomahawk Firefighters worked for forty minutes to extricate the victim from the vehicle and then bring her up a steep embankment to a waiting Tomahawk EMS ambulance. From there Wolk was transported by paramedics to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital, where they were met by the Spirit helicopter and taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation, police said.

Wolk was in serious but stable condition Tuesday afternoon.
