TOWN OF STOCKTON — Police have identified the pedestrian killed by a passing train as 20-year-old Nathaniel Schude.

The crash was reported at about 4:40 a.m. in the Portage County town of Stockton. Police say Schude was struck by a Canadian National Railway train on tracks South of Custer Drive and east of Custer Road.

Schude was airlifted to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation.
