MERRILL — A 34-year-old Gleason man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly attacked a corrections officer at the Lincoln County Jail.
Police say the attack, which happened Monday, happened when two corrections officers entered a cell block for a wellness check. One of the officers, who police say was kicked in the head, was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was later released.
The name of the injured officer was not released.
Court records show 34-year-old Jimmy Bosinske is facing felony charges filed Nov. 15 of battery by prisoners, as a repeat offender. Bosinske is also facing misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges.
Bosinske has a second battery by prisoners charge pending in Lincoln County Court. In that case, filed in April, he also faces charges of throwing or expelling bodily substances as a prisoner.
A scheduling conference is set for Nov. 29.
