Wausau and D.C. Everest School District officials have canceled classes for public and private schools on Monday, Jan. 28, ahead of a strong winter storm expected to dump up to a foot of snow in central Wisconsin.
Mosinee School District, Faith Christian Academy and Northland Lutheran High School are also closed on Monday.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Marathon County beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, extending to 6 p.m. on Monday.
