New events added Jan. 29: Marathon County Public Library activities

The Marathon County Public Library will host several events in the coming weeks at its various libraries.


Celebrate International Puzzle Day on Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mosinee Branch, 123 Main St., Mosinee. Jigsaw puzzles for varying ages will be offered, as well as a limited number of blank 35-piece puzzles that patrons can design and color in themselves! Free. Call 715-693-2144 for more info.


All ages are encouraged to visit the Rothschild Branch, 211 Grand Ave., Rothschild, between Jan. 28 and Feb. 2 for International Puzzle Week. All ages can stop in any time the branch is open to do a variety of puzzles. Free. For more info, call 715-359-6208.

UW-Extension Horticulture Educator Brianna Wright will talk about how to grow microgreens indoors and the health benefits of them on Jan. 29 from 5-7 p.m. at the Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau. Free. For more info, call 715-261-7230.


Adults and teens can use recycled romance novels, craft paper and small ceramic tiles to make their own romance-inspired coasters on Jan. 30 from 1:30-3 p.m. and on Jan. 31 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library, 300 N.
