Food delivery for elderly neighbors. Faith in Action is looking for volunteers to pick up food items from The Neighbors’ Place in Wausau and make deliveries to elderly neighbors in the area. Deliveries are on Wednesdays every two weeks in the morning. Contact Jamie at 715-848-8783.

Help in a variety of ways.  The Open Door of Marathon County meets needs of people leaving incarceration. Caring volunteers provide assistance with clothing, housing / job searches and Foodshare. United Way’s Emerging Leaders is looking for people who like to put together outfits and help others choose no-cost items for their interview or the first weeks on the new job. In-kind donated items needed

Plastic shopping bags needed for food pantry. Instead of throwing your plastic shopping bags away, donate them to The Neighbors’ Place food pantry. Drop off at 745 Scott St., Wausau, or contact Mallory at 715-845-1966.

Child safety items. Baby gates, outlet covers and other items to keep little ones free from harm, are appreciated by the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Family Resource Center. Any donations are given to families in need of these items. Contact Nicole at 715-843-1863 or [email protected].
