The season for Sylvan Hill Tubing is being extended, thanks for record-breaking snowfall in February.

City officials announced Wednesday that the tubing hill will remain open through Sunday, March 10. at Sylvan Hill Park, 1329 Sylvan St., Wausau. The season was originally set to end one week earlier.

Public tubing hours are 6 to 9:30 p.m. Fridays, 1:30 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Saturdays, and 1:30 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Fees are $7 for riders 42 inches and taller up to age 13, and $9.50 for riders age 14 and older.
