WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW

WAUSAU, Wis. — Voters will have the chance to learn more about six candidates vying for three Wausau School Board seats in a public forum next week.

The event, hosted by Wausau Pilot and Review and Sunrise Broadcasting, will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20 at Northcentral Technical College in the Center for Health Sciences Building in room 1004A. The room is immediately to the left upon entering the building at 1000 W. Campus Drive.

Wausau Pilot and Review Editor Shereen Siewert and WXCO Hometown Morning Host Oliver Burrows will moderate the forum. They will be joined by two high school representatives, 17-year-old Wausau West Junior Trinity Foster and 17-year-old Wausau East Junior Yinglai Chang, each of whom will have the opportunity to ask questions of the candidates.

The forum is free and open to the public. Readers are encouraged to submit suggested questions in advance to [email protected].

Voters on April 2 will choose three candidates to serve three-year terms. Incumbents Jane Rusch and Theresa Miles, whose terms expire on April 22, are running for another term. James Bouche, L. Voigt Smith, Liberty Heidmann, and Mark Holdhusen are also seeking seats on the board.

Mary Thao, whose term also expires April 22, is not seeking reelection.
