VILLAGE OF HEWITT, Wis. — A 77-year-old Wood County man is dead after being run over by a dump truck, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.
Rescue crews were called at about 7 a.m. to a property on Soo Lane in the village of Hewitt, southeast of Marshfield, where the man had been performing maintenance on the truck.
Authorities say the death is being ruled accidental.
Police expect to release the victim’s name on Wednesday.
