WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Stevens Point-based Mid-State Sisters of Skate will host their home season opener May 18 for the first time at the South Wood County Recreation Center, 2711 16th St. So.
Two roller derby games will feature Mid-State Sisters of Skate against Chippewa Valley Roller Derby from Eau Claire. Doors open at 5 p.m.; the games begins at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, kids 12 and younger get in free.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Patient Care Fund at Aspirus UW Cancer Center Riverview in partnership with the Renaissance Race Against Cancer.
