WAUSAU – The Badger State Games’ Summer Games is celebrating 35 years of Olympic-style sporting events for athletes of all ages and abilities.

Those who medal are eligible to compete in the State Games of America taking place in Lynchburg, Virginia. Here are the Badger State Games events happening this weekend.

Bowling

Youths, adults and 3-person teams knock down pins in search of BSG medals. Pre-registration is required and is currently closed. More details available at www.visitwausau.com/bowling.

Start time: 10 a.m.

Girls Fast Pitch Softball Tournament

The annual USA Lou Marth June Bug Classic Girls Fast Pitch Softball Tournament returns as teams fill the ball diamonds at Sunny Vale Park. Divisions include 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U/18U Combined. Registration is closed. More details available at www.visitwausau.com/girls-softball.

Martial Arts

The rafters of the Wausau Center mall will be filled with the sounds of breaking boards and shouts of “Kiai”, as martial artists ages 4 through adult compete in forms, weapons, breaking and sparring. Track and Field

Runners sprint for the finish line at BSG Track & Field 2018.

The annual BSG Track & Field event returns to Stiehm Stadium in Weston for a day of running, hurdles, long jumps, discuss, pole vaulting and more. Children and adults compete in more than 20 events. On-site registration is available. More details available at www.visitwausau.com/track-field.

D.C. Everest Junior High School, 1000 Machmueller St., Weston

Start times:  Field events 9:30 a.m.; track events 10 a.m.

Trap Shooting

Youth Baseball

BSG Youth Baseball concludes in Marshfield on this second weekend of the tournament. Age divisions range from 9 & Under up to 16 & Under with games scheduled at four locations. Pre-registration is required and is currently closed. More details available at www.visitwausau.com/youth-baseball.
