City officials will hold a dedication ceremony next month for the new Riverlife Park, which officially opened earlier this summer.
The dedication, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, is open to the public.
The $4.7 million park was funded through tax increment financing along with private donations and grants. The city is actively seeking additional donations to defray the cost of park amenities. In a news release, Mayor Robert Mielke outlined available sponsorships, ranging from $250 donor plaques and bricks to $1 million for the park’s bathroom and concession building.
