Crews respond to Hwy. 29 crashes

Crews overnight responded to two crashes on Hwy. 29 east of Wausau, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

The first crash happened in the eastbound lane of Hwy. 29 just east of Hwy. 51. As of the latest update at 5:37 a.m., the left eastbound lane remained closed to traffic.

An earlier crash shut down a portion of westbound Hwy. 29 near Wittenberg. The latest update, at 4:10 a.m., showed the right lane remained closed to traffic.

No details have yet been released about either crash including the nature of any injuries involved.
