WAUSAU — The Wausau RiverWolves has announced its 2019-2020 roster as the home opener is less than three weeks away.

The roster includes 13 Minnesota natives: F Tanner Eskro (Fridley), F Christian Hass (Rosemount), F Sam Baker (St. Louis Park), F Kasey Couture (Pequot Lakes), F Robert Carlson (Blaine), F Brandan Premo (Eveleth), F Carter McCarthy (New Ulm), F Jesse Zalka (Hoyt Lakes), D Blake Neudecker (St. Louis Park) and D Jaydn Benzick, (Breezy Point), D Cade Wyluda (Princeton), G Tyler Klatt (Monticello) and G Terran Mohr (Lakeville). The roster in total features players from six states, including Arizona, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Illinois, North Dakota and Wisconsin.

The team returns their top three scorers from a year ago in Robert Carlson (44 points), Tanner Eskro (35 points) and Mitch Idalski (35 points).

“With a solid core of returning veterans and a talented group of incoming players this should be a season full of excitement,” said head coach Colin Bailey in a news release. “We are looking forward to developing these young players into good hockey players on ice and excellent members of the community during their time in central Wisconsin.”

The RiverWolves will open their home slate on Sept. 27 at Marathon Park Ice Arena in Wausau.
