A portion of North Sixth Street is closed to traffic Wednesday morning due to a crash that left at least one person injured.

The two-vehicle crash was reported just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Evergreen Road and North Sixth Street. A blue pickup and a yellow box truck were involved in the crash, and one of the vehicles struck a power pole.

One passenger was trapped inside his vehicle and needed to be extricated.

Crews from Wisconsin Public Service remained at the scene at about 8:45 a.m., working to replace the damaged power pole, witnesses said.

There’s no word yet on the severity of the injuries involved. This story will be updated as more information is received.
