Marathon County volunteer opportunities: Week of Nov. 11

Good Morning at the Warming Center. Catholic Charities Warming Center is seeking morning volunteers. Choose from 2 a.m.-8 a.m. or 6-8 a.m. shifts. Later shift workers would make breakfast and help get guests get on their way by 8 a.m. Contact Tracy at 715-849-3311, ext. 1729, or trieger@cclse.org.

Smoke Alarm Installation. Teams of three go into the community and install free smoke alarms with training and support of the Red Cross. The team includes an installer, a recorder and an educator. Contact Lee at lee.borofka@redcross.org for more information.

Wausau Metro Special Adult Olympics Greeters and Registration. The Friday, Nov. 22, fundraiser is coming up and help is appreciated. Contact Ashley or Kayla at 715-573-7692 or wausaumetroadultso@gmail.com.

Van Driver. The Boys & Girls Club is clooking for a volunteer to pick up club members from school and bring them to the club. The volunteer is needed Monday-Friday from 2:45-3:45 p.m. For more information, contact Mao at 715-845-2582, ext. 213, or at maot@bgclub.com.

Crafted Blankets. Heartland Hospice accepts quilts, blankets and lap blankets, including feminine, masculine and patriotic/military styles. Contact Amanda at 715-344-4541 or amanda.cottrell@hcr-manorcare.com.

Stamps for Postage Needs. Postage gets costly when sending out information. If you can, donate a book or two of stamps to the Marathon County Literacy Council. Contact Connie at 715-218-5324 or mclitofwausau@gmail.com.

Craft Supplies for Kids! Crayons, markers, glue, glue sticks, colored pencils, tinfoil, colored art paper, paint and paintbrushes and clay are used by the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Marathon County Family Resource Center for play and learning!
