Residents inside a Spencer home that quickly filled with black smoke escaped without injury, according to initial scanner reports.
Fire crews were called to the home at about 12:45 p.m. on CTH F near Hayward Lane. Spencer Fire called for mutual aid about 10 minutes later from the town of McMillan.
Initial reports suggest a space heater may be to blame.
