Editor’s note: The Medical College of Wisconsin on Feb. 19 sent Wausau Pilot & Review an email correcting the spelling of Ms. Wickersham’s last name. The initial news release sent by MCW erroneously stated the new gifts director’s name name as Wickerson.

Beth Wickersham has joined the Medical College of Wisconsin as a regionalist major gifts director, the Medical College announced this week.

Beth Wickersham

Wickersham will lead philanthropic efforts for MCW’s regional campus in Wausau, MCW-Central Wisconsin, and she will work closely with faculty, community leaders, donors and volunteers to secure support of research, education and patient care initiatives supporting Froedtert Hospital, Froedtert Hospital Foundation and MCW programs.

“I am incredibly excited to have Beth join our team,” said Lisa Dodson, MD, campus dean for MCW-Central Wisconsin, in a news release. “Her passion for servicing her community and her understanding of the philanthropic priorities of Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin will make her an outstanding leader at this organization.”

Wickersham has more than 17 years of experience with fundraising and relationship building. Most recently she served as a principal gifts officer at Mayo Clinic and a major gifts officer at Marshfield Clinic. At both of these organizations, she was responsible for meeting strategic philanthropic priorities and working closely with donors to help them accomplish their philanthropic goals.
